Displaying product categories in the client's cabinet

Hello!
There was a problem with product categories that have more than two levels of hierarchy.
In order to correctly display products in the client's account, in the settings of the contact group, you have to specify, in addition to the parent category, all nested subcategories of all levels, except for the lowest one.
Previously, there was already a problem with saving product category settings in customer groups. After solving it, it was enough to specify only the parent category of the highest level, and then all nested categories of all levels that were allowed to be displayed in the account were displayed.
This setting has now stopped working. It is very uncomfortable! You need to expand each branch and not miss anything!
Is it possible to fix it and make it the way it was? So that it would be enough to specify only the parent category, regardless of the number of nested hierarchical levels, and only those nested categories that are not marked with a checkmark should not be d

We have taken this issue up for discussion with management. We will inform you about the result later.

Hello Maxim! What about my question?
Now all the settings have already gone and now for the correct display in the account, in the group settings, you need to select all nested categories, even if this is the first level of nesting.
Before that, only the second level and subsequent ones were not displayed. Categories with multi-level groupings are almost impossible to customize. Can you make it so that it is enough to indicate only the parent category, regardless of the number of nested hierarchical levels, and only those nested categories that are not marked with a checkmark should not be displayed?
And most importantly, that the settings work constantly! How to work with the system if you cannot be sure that what you set up initially works the same way after a day or a month?

Hello.
We changed the logic for selecting products by categories - now when choosing a category, its children are also taken into account. But keep in mind that these subcategories must be allowed to be displayed in the personal account (tick in category editing).
If you have a problem with a user of a specific group - provide a link to this user and an example of a product that he does not see in the personal account, but should.

The problem is that the products themselves are now visible, but the child categories are not available in the category filter.
Here is what the client sees https://zhiraf.crm-onebox.com/admin/shop/users/712/ from the group https://zhiraf.crm-onebox.com/admin/shop/usergroups/109/ in his account : https://prnt.sc/yplagd and should see all uncrossed child categories https://prnt.sc/yplhvs.
The ability to select categories in the filter appears only when I add child categories in the group settings.

In this topic, the problem with the output of subcategories was solved.
The filter works exactly as it should according to the original specification. If you want to change the logic of the filter - set a separate topic - we will offer and evaluate a solution for you.

On Friday, he worked differently. All child categories were visible. I didn't make screenshots, of course, because I didn't expect that a game in the style of "The Fool Himself" would now begin.
We recently set up an office and I monitor it constantly. Pay special attention to filters. Everything worked correctly! Please check again!

It could work differently, but not as you say. It could show 1 level below (and not all) - and this theme has made changes to this logic.
If the solution is simpler - there is a setting in the block "When choosing a category, show only brands that products have, when choosing a brand or category, show only lists of products that have products of this brand" - it will make it so that only those categories (tree) that are in the displayed products.

If you look at my ticket from the beginning, you will understand that it arose because the next levels were no longer displayed. If earlier it was displayed "one level lower", now it doesn't work like that and how this topic violated the logic, I don't understand. So this bug needs to be fixed!
And the setting "When choosing a category, show only brands that products have, when choosing a brand or category, show only lists of products that have products of this brand" is enabled for this group, but does not work https://prnt.sc/ypw72n

And now let's think differently - I'm a client, and I need to display products of subcategories (I have my own architecture, and I chose the main ones for the group) - and so that only selected categories are displayed in the filter - what to do then?

Why doesn't it work? So I go to the previously specified user https://zhiraf.crm-onebox.com/admin/shop/users/712/ - and I see subcategories in the multi selector that you did not select in the group settings https://zhiraf.crm-onebox .com/admin/shop/usergroups/109/

I don’t know how you see it, but I go to this client’s account and see only those child categories that are displayed in the group settings https://prnt.sc/yq8xky

Now look, it displays.
Now it turns out that the products are displayed taking into account subcategories, but if the above setting is not specified, only the selected categories will be in the filter, otherwise, with the setting, their children will also be displayed.

As far as I understand, we set up the filtering logic in the account, and not the client himself. Those categories that are not displayed now are the categories of the next level, they are simply displayed in the client group settings, and the rest are not. If I remove the categories that we see from the client group settings, then only the parent category will be in the filter.
And I do not see the picture that you sent me on the screen. I went to the client's account https://zhiraf.crm-onebox.com/admin/shop/users/712/ both through the card and through the password, and in different languages, but nothing has changed.
Can we call you for a minute? It seems to me that it will be faster and more productive. We can skype.

Now it displays! So it was before. The functionality of the setting "When choosing a category, show only brands that products have, when choosing a brand or category, show only lists of products that have products of this brand" I have known for a long time.
The main thing is that these settings do not disappear without warning.
