You need to edit the shipped order with the coupon. At the editing stage, there is an action Return goods to the warehouse.
Apparently, due to the fact that the coupon is not shipped in the system, an error occurs.

To prevent coupons from participating in warehouse operations, select Source Service (unlimited replicable) in the product card.

You probably only shipped selected items, or added a product after shipping, or something else. The solution to avoid your mistake is written above.
